Even though it didn't work out with Muzzy that experience sparked the desire for a long term pet. Peter and I have been visiting the animal shelter looking for the perfect dog. This last Thursday we ( I) found him. ( he is mostly my pet and in a month or so Peter wants to get his own dog). He is 4 years old and is very well behaved. At the shelter they said he was not potty trained but since we have had him he hasn't had an accident, but we we walk him 3 or 4 times a day, he pees on everything; trees, fences, light post, firehydronts, other dogs, ect.... In the home he is very mellow and just follows me around the house. I've been thinking of changing his name to Shadow because of this.

He is very skinny, we think he wasn't treated well with his last owners and he has a major fear of men who ware hats. He must have been abused by a man who wore a hat. So, if you come and visit us don't ware a hat. The only time he makes any kind of noise is when someone is at the door, which makes him a great watch dog. His bark is much deeper and louder then he really is. What won me over is his sad puppy eyes. Poor thing you just gotta love him.
