This past weekend Peter and I went down to Las Vegas with Shawn and Shara. This was probably the best Vegas trip we've had, even though it started out pretty shaky. As we drove down our car started to over heat, good thing it wasn't during summer, or we would have been in deep crap. We just blazed our heater and rolled down our windows. Good thing Shawn and Shara where there to hangout with while our car was getting fixed. We went with Shawn to see the Red Rock state park, I 've seen more beauty in Moab so I wasn't impressed, but it was nice to get out and about.
That night we stayed with them in a swanky condo. It had a sweet hot tub and the most amazing bed I've ever slept on. That night we also walk Fremont street, I'm not going to lie it was pretty cold, you forget that its winter during the day but the night reminds you.
The next day was Sunday so we took it easy. That night we stayed at Julie and Tony Robbens house. Tony is one of my converts on my mission. I Absolutely love this family. They just moved from Indiana in Aug. to Vegas. It was so good to catch up. It was one of those small blessing to taste the fruits of my mission. I feel more lucky that night then any of the winners at the big casinos.
The next day Peter and I ate breakfast at my favorite chain, Panera Bread. I sure wish they had one closer to us. After that we drove to the Hoover Dam. It was the most beautiful day I've seen this year. I got some amazing pics.If you didn't already know they are building a new bridge over the dam. It was so amazing to see this huge project under constructed. Hope you enjo y! Before we left town we ate dinner at a Cuban restaurants It was pretty good except our waitress was totally raciest agents us, and acted so put out that she had to speak English to use and was very bias with her service to us.
